AZN - AstraZeneca's planned purchase of Alexion to be refiled with FTC

AstraZeneca (AZN) has refiled its planned takeover of Alexion (ALXN) with U.S. antitrust regulators, according to an 8-K fling.Following informal talks with Federal Trade Commission, AZN told the FTC that it would withdraw its notification and refile it on or around March 16. It originally filed notification on Feb. 10 and withdrew it on March 12. A new 30-day waiting period under the HSR Act will commence on the date of such refiling. Recall Dec. 14, AstraZeneca/Alexion deal earns mixed views on Wall Street.
