In this article I will discuss the recent news that Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) is looking to sell certain of its assets to unlock shareholder value. I believe that this will be very beneficial for shareholders if these rumored asset sales will indeed go through. My main argument in this article will be something more unorthodox. While BBBY should indeed try to sell some of its non-core assets, I think it would be beneficial for the company to acquire another home décor retailer in the process.
