Founded in 1993 and based out of New Jersey, BIO-key International (BKYI, “Bio-key” or the “Company”) develops biometric technologies including fingerprint scanners and related identity management and credentialing software. Their products are distributed through VARs and partners as well as directly to end-customers via Amazon. The hardware products, which are mostly fingerprint scanners fitted on a USB, are manufactured by contractors in China and comprised approximately 40 percent of FY 2019 revenues. Bio-key produces over 30 types of fingerprint scanners, all of which are integrated with their proprietary software.
