Monday - July 18

• Volatility watch - Options trading volume has spiked over the last week on Canoo ( NASDAQ: GOEV ) and Clene ( CLNN ). Short interest on Revlon ( REV ) is now up to over 70% of total float to set up more wild price swings. Leonardo DRS ( DRS ) and CTS Corporation ( CTS ) are two new names on the social media trending list.
• All week - The Farnborough International Airshow will run from July 18-22 in a return to an in-person format. Boeing ( BA ) is likely to be the most watched company with the company planning to fly the newest and largest members of its 737 MAX and 777X airplane families. Airbus will present the A350-900 widebody capabilities and Embraer ( ERJ ) will showcase the E190-E2 aircraft. Lockheed Martin ( LMT ), Rolls-Royce ( OTCPK:RYCEY ), and BAE Systems ( OTCPK:BAESF ) will also be taking part. Watch for an announcement from Airbus on an order from Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) for more A220 jets.
• All day - Nikola ( NKLA ) shareholders are scheduled to vote once again on Proposal 2 to increase the number of outstanding shares to 800M from 600M. Last month, Nikola noted stockholders have voted overwhelmingly in favor of Proposal 2, with the exception of the vote of a stockholder who appeared to represent more than 85% of the votes against the proposal.
• All day - EyePoint Pharmaceuticals ( EYPT ) will host an Investor Day event.
• 2:00 p.m. Jefferies will host a discussion for clients on the state of the consumer economy and consumer finance leading into mid-year reporting. Jefferies Chief Economist Aneta Markowska will share views of a potential recession, cited as “impending but not imminent." Look for potential updates on consumer finance companies like EZCORP ( EZPW ), Affirm ( AFRM ), and Sofi Technologies ( SOFI ) that could impact shares prices.
