YCBD - cbdMD inks multi-year deal with Amazon partner Amify for cannabidiol products

cbdMD (NYSE:YCBD) has added ~24.2% in the pre-market on above-average volume after announcing a multi-year exclusive agreement with Amify to include the company’s cannabidiol (CBD) products within the Amazon marketplace. Per the terms, Amify, a platform partner of the tech giant Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN), will function as the cbdMD’s (YCBD) exclusive partner to launch the products on the Amazon platform as soon as the category becomes accepted and available. Noting that there is a significant interest in the category since the Farm Bill was passed in 2018, cbdMD (YCBD) expects Amazon to become a major platform for the distribution of CBD products. “When a global retailer like Amazon is ready to accept your products, you get your strategy prepared and perfected so you’re ready to go to market as soon as possible,” cbdMD’s (YCBD) Co-CEO Martin Sumichrast remarked.
