CME - CME Group ADV perks up 20% in July in wake of volatile markets
- CME Group ( NASDAQ: CME ) average daily volume for July climbed 20% to 20.4M contracts from a year ago, down from 24M in June.
- Equity Index ADV of 6.7M contracts jumped 40% Y/Y in July.
- Foreign Exchange ADV of 959K contracts gained 30% in July vs. July 2021.
- July's Interest Rate ADV of 9M contracts increased 16% from last year.
- Options ADV for July was 3.6M contracts, a Y/Y boost of 15%, highlighted by Equity Index options ADV jumping 45%.
- Agricultural ADV rose 14% to 1.3M contracts Y/Y in July.
- Metals ADV increased slightly by 3% to 553K contracts, driven by a 120% jump in cryptocurrency ADV.
