CME - CME Group S&P midcap and small cap indexes to Micro E-mini line
- CME Group ( NASDAQ: CME ) said Tuesday it will launch Micro S&P Midcap 400 and Micro E-mini S&P SmallCap 600 futures on March 20, pending regulatory review, expanding on its existing Micro E-mini futures across the range of small-, mid- and large-cap S&P indices.
- The smaller size of the contracts provides a "more precise toolset" for investors to scale exposure, the company said.
- "At one-tenth the size of their E-mini counterparts, our new Micro E-mini MidCap 400 and SmallCap 600 futures contracts will provide enhanced versatility to market participants as they manage equity market risk," said Paul Woolman, executive director of Equity Products at CME Group ( CME ).
- Last week, CME Group ( CME ) said it will add bitcoin futures to its line of event contracts.
