DIS - Disney set to make CBS exec Godwin president of ABC News

Walt Disney (DIS -0.2%) has made its choice for the next president of ABC News, NBC reports: Kimberly Godwin, currently executive VP of CBS News. Godwin is in final stages of talks to take over ABC News, which would maker her the first Black woman to lead a broadcast news division. She would report to Disney entertainment chairman Peter Rice, who's been searching for a new news chief for months. Previous president James Goldston had set plans to depart the role in March. Godwin's apparent move also raises some succession questions for CBS News ([[VIAC]] -1%, [[VIACA]] +0.1%), where current president Susan Zirinsky is expected to vacate her position in the near future.
