EMR - Emerson won't nominate directors to National Instruments board

Emerson Electric ( NYSE: EMR ) on Monday said it wouldn’t nominate directors to the board of National Instruments ( NASDAQ: NATI ) when the company holds its yearly shareholder meeting.
“We are optimistic that the NI board has commenced a process that we believe will lead to the sale of the company,” Emerson ( EMR ) said in a statement about National Instruments, which does business as NI. “Emerson ( EMR ) is committed to an acquisition of NI and is participating in the strategic review process.”
