The pan-European Stoxx 600 edged -0.29% lower, with media and auto stocks falling. Oil and gas was the lone sector in the green as it tracked an uptick in oil prices after recent declines.

Coming up in the session: All eyes glued to upcoming ECB press conference and monetary policy statement, US unemployment claims also on charts.

In the bond market, The yield on US 10-year Treasuries down three basis points at 3.37%.

Germany’s 10-year yield was up two basis points to 2.27%.

Britain’s 10-year yield was up two basis points to 3.72%.
