DXGE - European markets lower with U.S. debt ceiling talks in final stages

The pan-European Stoxx 600 was up 0.7%, with mining stocks rocketing 2.4% higher and tech extending gains by 1.1%. Telecoms fell 1% while banks were down 1.1%.

In the bond market, the yield on 10-year Treasuries was down more than two basis point to 3.78%.

Germany’s 10-year yield was up more than two basis point to 2.51%.

Britain’s 10-year yield was little changed to 4.37%.
