Newcrest Mining Limited ( ASX:NCM ) has published an exploration update, featuring news on the Red Chris property in British Columbia, Canada, and the Havieron project in Western Australia. The company’s Managing Director and CEO, Sandeep Biswas, said:
"Our extensive growth drilling program has delivered several new exciting high grade intercepts at Havieron, including 85m @ 11g/t Au and 0.29% Cu. These results highlight the potential for significant high grade depth extension of the South East Crescent zone. We are also excited by our continued exploration success at Red Chris, with drill results from East Ridge and Main Zone expanding the footprint of the higher grade mineralisation. East Ridge is our new discovery that is located outside of our initial Red Chris Mineral Resource estimate with drill results to date supporting the potential for resource growth at Red Chris over time. Drill results in the Main Zone have confirmed the potential for higher grade mineralisation which could support additional mining fronts beneath and to the south west of the open pit."
American Battery Metals Corporation ( OTC:ABML ), which is in the process of changing its name to American Battery Technology Company (ABTC), has announced the acquisition and recording of two additional water rights totaling 21.635 acre feet. The company’s Chief Resources Officer, Scott Jolcover, explained:
"The completion of this hard asset acquisition gives certainty that the water needed for operations of our planned 20,000 Metric Ton per year lithium-ion battery recycling pilot plant is ensured."
Copper Fox Metals Inc. ( TSXV:CUU ) has provided an update on the compilation and interpretation for the Eaglehead copper project in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. Highlights include a 5,000m long porphyry system hosting four mineralized zones, three stages of copper mineralization including late stage, higher-grade hydrothermal breccias, and mineralization is hosted in dioritic and granodioritic intrusives. The company’s President and CEO Elmer B. Stewart said:
"The updated geological model provides greater confidence in the distribution and controls of the mineralization and trace element ratios suggest that the Eaglehead intrusive is permissive for a large copper-gold porphyry system."
ALX Resources Corp. ( TSXV:AL ) has received an exploration permit for its 100 percent-owned Gibbons Creek Uranium Project, which comprises seven mineral claims encompassing 13,864 hectares in Saskatchewan, Canada. The permit is valid to October 2022, and “allows for a 5,000-metre drilling program in up to 20 holes along with ground-based geophysics, prospecting and geochemical sampling."
