FSLR - First Solar secures order from EDP Renewables for 1.8GW of solar modules

First Solar ( NASDAQ: FSLR ) has received a multi-year order from EDP Renewables to deliver 1.8 gigawatts of thin film PV solar modules.
The modules, which will be delivered up to 2028, will power U.S. projects developed by EDP Renewables North America.
The strategic agreement enables EDP Renewables to de-risks its solar pipeline in the U.S. by securing equipment for its expected growth in the utility and distributed generation segments.
