DKNG - FuboTV Rush Street gain as analyst sees as potential takeover targets
Rush Street Interactive (NYSE:RSI) rose 3.7% and FuboTV (NYSE:FUBO) popped slightly after an Oppenheimer analyst said they are the most likely takeover targets in the betting industry. The Oppenheimer comments come after Draftkings (NASDAQ:DKNG) earlier dropped its $22.6B bid for Entain (OTCPK:GMVHF). Oppenheimer sill expects Draftkings (DKNG) will be "aggressive" with its acquisitions given the company's history and management's strategy to develop "an all-encompassing sports entertainment platform,'' Oppenheimer analyst Jed Kelly wrote in a note. "We expect industry consolidation to be a major theme over the next two years and see RSI and FUBO as the most likely take-out candidates within our coverage universe," Kelly added. Recall in August, Sports betting and iGaming stocks are on a rush as M&A, dealmaking sweeps over the sector.
