GVA - Granite Construction gets $17M contract for improvements at Duncan Creek dam

• Granite Construction ( NYSE: GVA ) said Wednesday it was awarded ~$17M construction contract by the Placer County Water Agency for updates and improvements at the Duncan Creek diversion dam in California.
• The project will bring the dam up to current standards, while improving fish passage and allowing for more efficient operation.
• The award is expected to be included in GVA's Q3 cap.
• The project will begin in Q4 and will likely be completed in 2024.
