GVA - Granite secures $257M construction contract from Caltrans
California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has selected Granite (GVA) as the construction manager/general contractor for $257M rehabilitation project in Fresno, California. The project is for state route 99 rehabilitation from El Dorado street to Clinton Ave that includes the reconstruction of 3.2 miles roadway, where the contract's first phase is the construction management portion, valued at $3M and expected to start later this year; the next general contractor phase is slated to begin in mid-2024."We are honored to once again team up with Caltrans and improve transportation in Fresno," says Granite Regional VP Carter Rohrbough.The contract will be booked into Granite's fourth quarter 2020 backlog.
