GVA - Granite secures $48M contract from USACE for Texas flood control project

  • Granite ( NYSE: GVA ) has secured a $48 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to mitigate flood risk and damage in Wharton, Texas.

  • Project funding will come from the USACE’s fiscal 2023 civil construction funds and is expected to be included in second quarter CAP, the company said.

  • The project is expected to commence in September 2023 and will be completed in December 2024.
