Outside of a very well-hyped IPO, earnings surprises drove most of the notable stock moves on Thursday. This included much of the quick-dining space, where better-than-expected earnings from Yum! Brands (NYSE:YUM) spilled over into the rest of the sector. Wingstop (NASDAQ:WING), Kura Sushi (NASDAQ:KRUS) and Noodles (NASDAQ:NDLS) all gained ground as well. Mattress maker Tempur Sealy (NYSE:TPX) rode a better-than-expected earnings figure to a double-digit rally on Thursday. This allowed the stock to set a new high. Citrix Systems (NASDAQ:CTXS) lived through the opposite story. A weak report from the software provider prompted a sharp decline and a fresh 52-week low. A quarterly report also sparked a big move in shares of LendingClub (NYSE:LC). It became one of the standout gainers on the session after it posted a surprise profit for its latest quarter.
