IND - Megacap stocks also facing 'perverse' post-earnings action: At the Open
The Nasdaq futures (NDX:IND) are the weakest of the major averages in premarket trading.That’s coming after a spate of big tech and momentum companies reporting largely stronger earnings after the bell yesterday.Apple (AAPL) reported all-time record revenue as iPhone sales crushed estimates. Outlook was a little cautious on the call, with the company coming off those strong holiday sales. But Wall Street analysts were quick to boost price targets this morning.Wedbush described Apple’s results as a “jaw dropper,” with iPhone results well above “the most bullish whisper numbers.”But the stock is down 1.6% ahead of trading.Tesla (TSLA) is down 5% after delivering another profit. Valuation seems to be the main concern rather than performance, according to the sell side this morning.Facebook (FB) delivered a solid beat and announced a $25B buyback, but shares initially fell after the numbers. They are up 1% premarket as global growth offered some optimism amid a fall in domestic
