NUAN - Microsoft files with European Commission for Nuance planned acquisition

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) filed with the European Commission for its planned purchase of Nuance Communications (NASDAQ:NUAN). The European antitrust regulatory has set a Dec. 21 deadline as provisional deadline to decide on the matter, according to a post on the agency's website. The almost $20B acquisition received U.S. antitrust approval in June after the HSR waiting period expired. Nuance is set to release its Q4 results after market close today.
