TSLA - News From the EV Universe

When it comes to the EV world, it almost seems as every week is yet another monumental week as exciting new developments just keep on coming. Traditional automakers such as Ford (NYSE: F) and General Motors (NYSE: GM) are ramping up their investments whereas just as ambitious newcomers keep on entering the EV race, with many promising and revolutionary technologies underway.

Worksport to present a new revolutionary product

The promising tonneau cover provider Worksport Ltd (OTC: WKSP) just revealed it has another groundbreaking technology under its sleeve. Mr. Lorenzo Rossi, a member of Worksport’s Board of Directors, will present the company’s new game-changing and industry-disrupting NPEV technology at the inaugural Hydrogen Americas Summit from June 8 th to June 11 th as well as the G20 Ministerial Meeting which will take place on July 22 nd and 23 rd , with themes revolving around Environment, Climate and Energy or in simple worlds, a cleaner word.

Although it remains unknown what kind of technology is in question as well as its superpowers, the company revealed it will be bypassing currently industry strategies as this technological wonder will create company ecosystems. The ground-breaking EV technology will be of true clean tech and EE-related but it will be separate from the company’s cover and current battery system business that already changed the rules of the game by bringing solar power in the EV equation. As a reminder, the solar fusion, TerraVis, will be configured for two upcoming pickup trucks, namely Atlis XT and Hercules Alpha, both of which are eagerly anticipated.

Although this is a very diverse company, its approach can be summarized by a team who think differently and innovates revolutionary products with a customer-centric focus, which is what resulted in its oversubscribed Regulation A offering.

Ford is both accelerating and expanding its profitable lineup

When speaking of pickups, it is impossible not to mention America’s beloved F-150 which will receive its electric version next year, the Lightning. The Blue Oval announced it will expand its highly profitable pickup truck franchise with a new compact pickup called Maverick that will be smaller compared to both the F-150 full and its midsize Ranger for it to carry the title of being among the smallest and cheapest pickups in the U.S. Following the successful debut of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the legendary company aims to electrify its most iconic nameplates. As Lisa Drake, the chief operating officer for North America, stated last Wednesday, Ford does not intend to cede truck leadership to anyone in the BEV era.

After recently upping its EV investment to $30 billion by 2025 and setting a goal of making 40 percent of its vehicles electric by 2030 as opposed to GM that went even further with its aspiration to exclusively sell EVs by 2035, Ford also plans to exceed Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) in vehicles capable of significant remote updates by July next year. Moreover, it aims to scale to 33 million over-the-air-enabled Ford and Lincoln vehicles by 2028.

BMW’s EV is coming

Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft (OTC: BMWYY) CEO Bernd Körber announced that the F57 Mini Convertible EV is coming in 2025. It seems BMW has crunched the numbers as it believes that it can make a case for a future electric Mini Convertible.

2021 Kia Niro EV debuts with tech upgrades

The Kia Niro EV has been updated for the 2021 model year without revealing pricing, although the EV’s general bones remain the same. However, with the all-new EV6 on its way, there’ll likely be little to no need for the Niro EV. Although the Kia EV6 is not the Kia Corporation’s first-ever pure BEV, it is the first model to utilize a dedicated EV platform. Although both the Soul and Niro got their electric versions, the former has been dropped for the US market.

“Sit back and enjoy the show”

It seems it’s everyone’s plan to win the electric revolution and all approaches involve one thing: heavy investment.Who will be the first at the finish line remains as unclear as ever but with so many promising developments along the way, the EV race surely won’t lack excitement and it will most likely end up being the most intense industry transformation to date.
