LaserLens/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Northrop Grumman ([[NOC]] +0.5%) says it finalized a contract to provide the Habitation and Logistics Outpost module for the NASA's planned Gateway outpost that will orbit the moon as part of the Artemis program. HALO is where astronauts will live and conduct research while visiting the Gateway, and will provide command and control systems for the lunar outpost as well as docking ports for visiting spacecraft. Under the contract, valued at $935M, Northrop Grumman says it will be responsible for attaching and testing the integrated HALO with the Power and Propulsion Element being built by Maxar Technologies (MAXR). HALO's design is based on Northrop's Cygnus spacecraft, which has completed 15 resupply missions to the International Space Station. Northrop Grumman "has a strong product portfolio to keep winning," Dhierin Bechai writes in a bullish analysis posted recently on Seeking Alpha.
