NUAN - Nuance Communications beats-and-raises revenue expectations
Nuance Communications (NUAN) is swinging from gains to declines in choppy postmarket trading after its fiscal first-quarter earnings, where it beat expectations on top and bottom lines and raised revenue guidance for the full year. The report came alongside the acquisition of Saykara, a company focused on automating clinical documentation. Revenues dipped 4.4% to $345.8M, but operating income ticked up to $91.4M from $90.4M a year ago, and operating margin rose to 26.4% from a year-ago 25%.
