Earlier this year, I wrote an article detailing the bid by Elliot Management to acquire all of QEP Resources (QEP) in an all-cash transaction valued at $2.07 billion. In that article, I made the case that the price being paid by Elliot, if accepted, was really getting the firm for cheap.
