AGPPF - Sibanye-Stillwater's Purchase Of The Remaining 50% Of Kroondal Looks Compelling And I'm No Longer Bearish
- The company is boosting its interest in the Kroondal PGM operation in South Africa to 100% through a deal with Anglo American Platinum.
- This will allow Sibanye-Stillwater to mine remote parts of the orebody at its Rustenberg operation, thus extending the mine life of Kroondal to 2029.
- Based on the June 2021 TTM financial results of Sibanye-Stillwater, Kroondal contributed over $370 million in net profits which means another four years of mining could add significant value.
