CA - Sierra Wireless gains as Semtech deal HSR waiting period terminated

• Sierra Wireless ( NASDAQ: SWIR ) rose 6% in after hours trading after announcing along with Semtech ( SMTC ) that the HSR waiting period its sale to Semtech was terminated. Semtech fell 3.2%.
• The closing of its sale to Semtech ( SMTC ) is expected to occur on or around next Thursday, according to a statement. Semtech and Sierra ( SWIR ) were notified Thursday that the waiting period had been terminated.
• Investors have been waiting for updates on the antitrust review of the deal after the companies announced in October that they received a request for additional information from the Dept. of Justice in regards to the Sierra Wireless acquisition.
• Semtech ( SMTC ) announced in August it planned to acquire Sierra Wireless ( SWIR ) for $31 per share in all cash .
