SFTBY - SoftBank Robotics bringing food service robot Servi to Japan
SoftBank ([[SFTBF]],[[SFTBY]]) Robotics will launch the food service robot Servi in Japan in January. Servi will cost $950/month for a three-year plan, excluding tax.Servi, which was developed by California-based Bear Robotics, can carry layers of trays and navigate restaurants using 3D cameras and Lidar sensors.The robot will arrive in Japan as it deals with a labor shortage and the pandemic-related social distancing requirements.SoftBank led a $32M funding round for Bear Robotics last year.The tech giant announced the subscription-based professional cleaning robot Whiz in 2018.
