Summary
After the Alaska Airlines door plug blowout in January, Spirit AeroSystems’ stock price has been under pressure.
In early March, Boeing confirmed that they have been in discussions with Spirit about a possible acquisition which is baked into the current market value as the stock price increased.
At the current valuation, I do not believe Spirit offers enough upside to justify the risk presented by the current quality issues and financial condition of the company.
