MGP - U.S. on pace to reach herd immunity in 1.9 months nearing normality
The U.S. is set to reach 70%+ COVID-19 immunity in 1.9 months at its current vaccination rate, according to Montreal-based Numera Analytics, a provider of macroeconomic and sectoral research specializing in probability forecasting.That's better than the 2.1 months until herd immunity calculated a week earlier.But the world as a whole won't reach herd immunity for a year, better than the 13 months Numera had previously forecast.Vaccine coverage in developed markets rose 4 points to 35% of the population, led by faster rollout in the Eurozone and Canada. Increased supply and improved logistics has allowed both regions to double the pace of inoculations over the past month.
