MAXR - U.S. reconnaissance agency exercises radio frequency contract option with Maxar

- Maxar Technologies ( NYSE: MAXR ) on Thursday said one of its units had got a contract extension from a U.S. agency for commercial radio frequency (RF) remote sensing.
- Aurora Insight, a company acquired by MAXR in December last year, has received a Stage II contract extension from the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Maxar ( MAXR ) said in a statement .
- Aurora was previously awarded a Stage I contract by the NRO, "which focused on the modeling and simulation of its capabilities to support the U.S. government's current and future commercial RF reconnaissance needs."
- The Stage II contract option will provide MAXR the opportunity to showcase real-world performance of its commercial RF constellation.
- The size of the contract was not disclosed.
- MAXR stock earlier closed +0.3% at $51.26.
