UBS AG ( NYSE: UBS ) is set to get unconditional European Union approval for its purchase of fellow Swiss bank Credit Suisse.
The approval is expected to be given following the end of the European Commission's preliminary review, according to a Reuters report, which cited people familiar.
UBS ( UBS ) in March agreed to acquire struggling Credit Suisse ( NYSE: CS ) for a total of CHF 3B (US$3.25B) in an all-stock deal.
