TSLA - Vehicle sales to almost double in April 2021: TrueCar
As per TrueCar estimates, total new vehicle sales will reach 1.4M units in April 2021 (+97% Y/Y, -12.6% M/M); pandemic led to the M/M drop in sales.March seasonally adjusted annualized rate ((SAAR)) for total light vehicle sales is an estimated 17.1M, rebounding from 8.7M SAAR in April 2020.Excluding fleet sales, TrueCar expects U.S. retail deliveries of new cars and light trucks to be 1.3M units (+94.5% Y/Y, -11.8% M/M).Total retail sales are seen 95% higher and down 11.8% from prior month while fleet sales are expected to be up 125% Y/Y and down 20% M/M.Total SAAR is expected to increase 97% Y/Y to 17.1M units.Used vehicle sales for April 2021 are expected to reach 3.4M (+58% Y/Y, -6% M/M).Except Subaru (FUJHF) (+17.9% M/M, +153.1% Y/Y) and Tesla (TSLA) (+23.7% M/M, 360% Y/Y), all the auto manufacturers - (BMWYY), (DDAIF), (F), (GM), (HMC), (NSANF), (TM) - are seen reporting M/M declines based on April 2021 forecasts.
