Canadian miner Yamana Gold (NYSE:AUY) on Monday filed for a mixed shelf offering with the U.S. SEC of up to $1B. The mixed shelf offering consists of common shares, debt securities, subscription receipts, units and warrants. The offering comes a week after the company's CFO told Bloomberg that it was seeking better terms from lenders after getting an upgrade from S&P ratings. U.S.-listed shares of AUY earlier closed -5.6% at $5.58.
