David M. Brown, M.D., Director of Research at Retina Consultants Houston, is a medical and surgical retinal specialist and clinical trial specialist. He has pioneered research in the areas of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion. He is the director of the Greater Houston Retina Research Center, a clinical professor of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine, the Vice-Chair for research at the Blanton Eye Institute at Houston Methodist Hospital and serves as the consultant retinal specialist for NASA.
