Ørsted ( OTCPK:DNNGY ) said Friday it plans to build a large-scale solar project in Texas capable of generating enough energy to power more than 80K homes annually.
The Danish renewable energy company said it made a final investment decision on a 471 MW Mockingbird solar power project, its largest solar PV development to date, and will begin construction this month, with completion expected in 2024.
The project is partially supported by a 10-year power purchase agreement already signed with Dutch health and nutrition company Royal DSM, which will be procuring a share of the solar farm's output.
With Mockingbird, Ørsted ( OTCPK:DNNGY ) now has 1,800 MW of solar PV capacity in operation or under construction in its global portfolio.
Ørsted ( OTCPK:DNNGY ) is "a solid leader in renewables at a fair value," Wolf Report writes in an analysis posted on Seeking Alpha .
