- Netflix ( NASDAQ:NFLX ): The publication of quarterly data sparked investment in Netflix ( NASDAQ:NFLX ). Following the company’s earnings and sales beating forecasts, shares of the video streaming service rose 12% in premarket trading. In terms of subscriber growth, NFLX also did better than expected, adding 2.41M net new customers in Q3 instead of the 1M that was expected.
- Procter & Gamble ( NYSE:PG ): On both the top and bottom lines, Procter & Gamble (PG) posted quarterly results that exceeded expectations. Revenue increased by about 1% to $20.6 billion, exceeding estimates by $240 million. The company was able to mitigate the effects of adverse foreign exchange by raising prices.
- United Airlines ( NASDAQ:UAL ): In premarket trade after the release of its financial results, United Airlines ( NASDAQ:UAL ) rose. With sales that were up 13% over the pre-pandemic period of 2019, the company significantly outperformed analysts’ expectations.
- Travelers (NYSE:TRV): Travelers outperformed analysts’ forecasts with its Q3 earnings. A recorded reading for net earned premiums, which came in at $8.6 billion, a 10% increase from the prior period, benefited the bottom line.
