Affirm Holdings ( NASDAQ: AFRM ) said Thursday it has enabled customers of global airline Cathay Pacific to use Affirm's "Buy Now, Pay Later" services to pay for flights in separate installments over time.
So, by selecting Affirm ( AFRM ) at checkout, eligible Cathay Pacific customers can split the total cost of any flight into bi-weekly or monthly payments, without having to pay interest.
The move comes as "global airline traffic in May was up nearly 40% compared to 2022 and has returned to over 95% of pre-pandemic levels," said Affirm Chief Revenue Officer Wayne Pommen.
Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific joins more than 245K Affirm ( AFRM ) merchants seeking to boost overall sales, average order value, conversion and customer repurchase rates.
In March, Affirm provided VersaClimber customers its BNPL capability.
