- American International Group ( NYSE: AIG ) named to its board Diana Murphy and Vanessa Wittman as independent directors as of March 16, 2023, the insurer said Monday.
- Murphy has been a managing director at private equity firm Rocksolid Holdings LLC for 15 years. In 2016, she was named president of the United States Golf Association.
- Wittman most recently served as chief financial officer of Glossier, a digital-first beauty company. She had previously served as CFO of Verizon's ( VZ ) Oath subsidiary, Dropbox ( DBX ), Google's ( GOOG ) Motorola Mobility, and Marsh McLennan ( MMC ).
- The additions expand the size of AIG's ( AIG ) board to 12 members, the company said in an SEC filing . No decisions have yet been made regarding committee appointments.
- Earlier this month, Dan Loeb's Third Point LLC disclosed that it took a new stake in AIG ( AIG ), with the acquisition of 5.1M shares , as of Dec. 31, 2022.
