- Air Industries' ( NYSE: AIRI ) Sterling Engineering subsidiary received new contracts worth $3M for turbine engine components from a long-established customer.
- The component is a Support Nozzle used in high pressure turbine engines for onboard electric power generation on large ships.
- This marks the second order received on this major new helicopter platform and it follows a earlier announced $5.2M Long-Term Agreement for Chaff Pods for the CH-53K in late 2021.
- CEO Mr. Lou Melluzzo stated, "In recent months we have seen an increase in bookings of new business for both our Long Island and Connecticut subsidiaries. For the last three months ending January 31, 2023 our consolidated monthly bookings represented a 168% increase over the monthly average for the previous nine months. This is an encouraging trend."
