Airbus ( OTCPK:EADSF ) estimated its deliveries of commercial planes will rise to about 720 this year from 661 in 2022, The Wall Street Journal reported. The European plane maker had set a target for 720 planes for last year, but supply-chain bottlenecks limited output.
The production snags have led Airbus ( OTCPK:EADSF ) to lower a previously set target of making 75 narrow-body planes a month by the middle of this decade to 65 a month by the end of next year and 75 a month in 2026.
By the end of last year, Airbus was making three of its A330 wide-body planes a month, and plans to increase output to four a month by next year. Production of the bigger A350 is set to rise from six a month currently to nine a month by the end of 2025.
