- Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Akamai ( AKAM ) anticipates no material impact to its financial guidance for 2023 as a result of the transaction.
- Headquartered in London, U.K., Ondat has developed a Kubernetes-native platform for running stateful applications anywhere at scale. Its employees, including founder and chief technology officer Alex Chircop, will join Akamai's cloud computing business.
- The acquisition of Ondat's cloud storage technology is intended to strengthen Akamai's ( AKAM ) cloud computing offerings.
- The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2023.
