GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – TheNewswire - (May 25, 2022): Angkor Resources Corp.(TSXV:ANK ) and ( OTC:ANKOF) (“Angkor” or“the Company”) announces Angkor’s energysubsidiary, EnerCam Resources Corp., (EnerCam) advances potentialCambodian energy with inspection of production facilities in theoffshore Khmer Basin.
Executive VP Operations of Angkor, and President ofEnerCam, Mike Weeks, at the request of government officials ofMinistry of Energy in the Kingdom of Cambodia, has led a technicalassessment and inspection of the offshore production facilities anddrilling platform, located 160 kms from Sihanoukville at the offshoreoil field in the Khmer Basin of the Gulf of Thailand.
As President of and on behalf of EnerCam, Weeks, withover 30 years’ experience in international petroleum production,undertook a comprehensive study of producing offshore reservoir andpotential recovery of further oil production over the past fivemonths. As follow up to the report, submitted to Ministry of Minesand Energy (MME) in March, Weeks recently oversaw a physicalinspection of the offshore facilities. The crew ship taking the team160 kilometers southwest of Sihanoukville, departed May 3 and the8-man technical team was joined by 15 officials from Cambodia’s MMEthrough inclement weather and unsettled waters.
In December of 2021, Weeks coordinated a team ofveterans and specialists, each with +35 years of practical expertise,most of whom are Canadian, to study the potential to restart andcontinue producing the field. Team members included experiencedspecialists in fields such as reservoir integrity, down-hole welloptimization, environmental impact, safety, and other productionfields.
