Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) unveiled a new program for businesses to assemble, manage and install software on employee iPhones, iPads and Macs. Many small businesses that participated in the Apple Business Essentials trial, relayed the ability to save time and the renewed ability to focus on their ultimate end goal.
The software, called Business Essentials, ranges from USD2.99 per month to USD24.99 per month per worker. The product permits a team leader or a system administrator to implement corporate apps, set passcode policies, track or turn off a lost phone or laptop, and supply access to cloud storage. Users with more expensive tiers are given AppleCare credits so they can receive repairs from Apple stores.
“Apple has a deep and decades-long commitment to helping small businesses thrive. From dedicated business teams in our stores to the App Store Small Business Program, our goal is to help each company grow, compete, and succeed,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Enterprise and Education Marketing. “We look forward to bringing Apple Business Essentials to even more small businesses to simplify device management, storage, support, and repairs. Using this new service leads to invaluable time savings for customers — including those without dedicated IT staff — that they can invest back into their business.”
The multinational technology company’s services rose 27% in 2021 to USD68.4 Billion as it launched subscriptions like Fitness+, which gives users admission to a library of video workouts. The new product is a symbol of Apple’s boosted focus on corporate sales and products that help companies operate within hybrid work environments.
“As these businesses grow, so do the demands on their time. If you have more employees, you’re likely to have more devices. And that can mean time dealing with managing those devices, whether it’s set up, being lost, etc. So we felt like we were in a position to help by providing a really easy solution that helps small businesses stay focused on running their businesses,” Prescott said.
