ArcelorMittal ( NYSE: MT ) increased its coil offer price to €820/ton for hot-rolled coal and €940/ton for hot-dip galvanized, Argus reported Monday.
The latest quotation is up by €40/ton from the company's last official offer prices of €780/ton for hot rolled coil and €900/ton for hot-dip galvanized, according to the report.
Argus' benchmark daily northwest European Union HRC index rose by €21.25/ton last week alone as buyers that needed supplies gave in to higher prices, and Argus' headline daily Italian HRC index has climbed by €11.50/ton so far this month to €765.75/ton.
ArcelorMittal ( MT ) recently said it is gradually bringing idled production capacity back online in Europe as market conditions improve, and reported better than expected Q4 adjusted earnings and revenues .
