- Ares Management ( NYSE: ARES ) on Monday said it had launched a new fund focused on investing in loans to U.S. middle-market companies.
- ARES said the fund, called Ares Strategic Income Fund (ASIF), had launched with about $1.5B in initial investible capital.
- ASIF will primarily invest in directly originated, senior secured, floating-rate loans to U.S. middle-market companies.
- "As high-net-worth investors seek alternative sources of income, we believe that ASIF provides investors a differentiated opportunity to benefit from Ares’ leading credit investment platform and cycle-tested investment approach," ASIF co-CEO Mitchell Goldstein said in a statement .
- ARES said the fund will be distributed through Ares Wealth Management Solutions and will be available through registered investment advisers and financial advisors across the U.S.
