Amazon Web Services, the cloud computing unit of Amazon ( NASDAQ: AMZN ), reportedly has thousands of customers using its new artificial intelligence tools that were unveiled earlier this year.

Bedrock, which was unveiled in April , gives customers the ability to use foundation models - AI-based technologies built by "leading AI startups" - with their own data to create the model they need at that particular time, without having to invest in servers.
Bedrock works work with Amazon Titan, the company's own foundation model, as well as those created by stability.ai, AI21Labs and Anthropic.
Though a significant number of customers are trying out Amazon Bedrock, it is not available for wide use. However, Sivasubramanian told the news outlet that it will be available generally "soon," but did not give a specific date.
Amazon ( AMZN ) also showed off new artificial intelligence tools on Wednesday, including AWS HealthScribe, a gen AI-centric healthcare system that automatically drafts clinical documentation.
Other tools unveiled include those geared towards customer-service agents known as Agents for Amazon Bedrock.
