Baselode Energy Corp CEO James Sykesjoined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with an update on the diamonddrilling program on the ACKIO high-grade uranium zone at the Hookproject in Saskatchewan.
Sykes saidthe drilling has extended mineralization in Pod 7 by about 50 metersfrom the previous model, showing great promise. Notably, high levelsof radioactivity, exceeding 10,000 counts per second, suggest thepotential for higher-grade uranium mineralization.
Sykes explained that higher counts oftencorrelate with higher uranium concentrations, indicating significantpotential for tonnage growth. The shallow nature of the radioactivityfindings was highlighted as a positive factor, making the prospectmore conducive to cost-effective open-pit mining operations.
While the current drilling program atACKIO is being remodeled to better predict future explorationdirections, the company is shifting its focus to near-Aquareconnaissance exploration drilling.
Sykes said he was confident in the shallow mineralization andelevated radioactivity levels discovered so far, in line withBaselode's objective of finding near-surface, high-grade uraniummineralization.
Regular news updates are expected every two tofour weeks, with assay results following the conclusion of the drillprogram.
