Baselode Energy CEO James Sykes joinedSteve Darling from Proactive to share the encouraging outcomes fromthe recent drilling activities at the ACKIO uranium prospect, part ofthe Hook project.
He reported thatdrill hole AK23-112 has verified Pod 7 as the second area within ACKIOto host near-surface uranium mineralization. Remarkably, right afterpenetrating the overburden, AK23-112 encountered mineralized bedrock, yielding a notable grade of 0.67% U3O8 over 2.1 meters.
Additionally, within this drill hole, asignificant mineralized intercept was found (0.23% U3O8 over 13.0meters at 44 meters true vertical depth), which includes a high-gradesection of uranium (1.82% U3O8 over 1.0 meter) located within 20meters of the upper intersection.
Sykes suggested to Proactive that these latest findings indicatethe possibility of additional mineralized lenses and structuresextending up to the base of the overburden—structures that may havebeen previously under-evaluated.
Baselode Energy is awaitingassay results from 11 more drill holes, including those that havedemonstrated the highest levels of radioactivity, which couldpotentially further elucidate the extent of uranium mineralization atthe site.
