U.S. stocks on Wednesday made small moves , amid trading that is expected to be thin with many investors on holiday. Equities had kicked off the final week of the year on a positive note in the previous session.

Tesla ( NASDAQ: TSLA ) stock climbed more than 2% and was among the top percentage gainers on the S&P 500 ( SP500 ). The advance came after Bloomberg reported that the electric vehicle giant was gearing up to launch a revamped version of its best-selling Model Y car from its plant in Shanghai, citing people familiar with the matter.

Shares of Coherus BioSciences ( CHRS ) surged ~28% after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved its on-body injector of its biosimilar to post-chemotherapy treatment Neulasta. The company said Udenyca Onbody was designed to enable delivery of pegfilgrastim in five minutes.
