Boeing’s ( NYSE: BA ) deliveries of commercial airplanes rose 43% from a year earlier to 50 last month, which was 13 fewer than for European competitor Airbus ( OTCPK:EADSY ) ( OTCPK:EADSF ).
Deliveries of the best-selling 737 Max totaled 35 in May, compared with 17 in April, when Boeing ( BA ) delayed shipments because a supplier reported a manufacturing defect that needed to be fixed.
Boeing ( BA ) also handed off eight widebody 787 Dreamliners, three 767 freighters, three 777 freighters and a 737 that will be modified into a P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft for South Korea during the month.
